PMC3™ fires at very low temperatures and is the strongest of the PMC® varieties! It has a finer, smoother composition that’s easy to work with and manipulate. You can also embed findings with confidence—firing at a low temperature means they won’t be heat-damaged. It fires at a lower temperature, allowing you to combine sterling findings with your PMC+ before firing. Create jewelry, beads, components—anything you can do with clay, you can do with PMC!
Composition: 90% fine silver powder, 10% water and organic binder
Color: Pickle white
Shrinkage: 12%
Physical Properties:
• Firing temperature: 600°C (1110°F) for 30 minutes; or 650°C (1200°F) for 20 minutes, or 700°C (1290°F) for 10 minutes.
• Melting point: 960°C (1762°F)
• Density after firing: 9.3 S.G. (rolled silver = 10.5 S.G.)
