For the smoothest, strongest pellets and kiln furniture use our Ultra Smooth Investment. This product is easy to mix and pour into the molds. Also use as a placeholder for heat-sensitive stones during firing.
Use to cast ring sizers for metal clay rings, make placeholders for cabochons or other bezel set components. Makes a perfect seat everytime.
Mixing ratio & technique:
1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons water
Stir powder and water together to creamly consistancy and put into mold cavity.
After pouring into mold allow 30-45 minutes to set before de molding.
Safety & cleanup:
Do not inhale the investment powder. Investment contains silica and can cause silicosis over time if breathed in. We recommend wearing a dust mask any time you mix investment. Do not pour unused or spent investment down your drain. The particles in the investment are heavy and will stick to pipes and result in a concrete-like sediment that will lead to blockage. Instead, wipe out your freshly used mixing container with a damp paper towel and place in bin, or rinse o your mixing tools outside.
