I really like the improvements in the drying time. It stays moister in the package than the old.The clay is a bit more elastic than the old formula, which is not a great trade-off, for example, it will stretch more than the old formula when peeling off a stamp or mold, and that causes more distortion if you aren't careful. Also the back side impressions do show a little more on the front impressions. Overall, I do like the new formula and have switched to this product for all my silver jewelry creations. I also noticed the new firing table on the instructions, and DO NOT RELY ON IT! I tried the new temperatures, and EVERY charm shattered when dropped. So I have gone back to the old recommendation of 1650 degrees for 2 HOURS and no more problems with shattering or breaking.
